Vintage inspired Wall Hanging

Hey there.
I have this Vintage Inspired Wall Hanging I want to share with you and it is also part of another blog hop for Imagine if....

If you want to win some awesome felt flowers from Imagine if...all you have to do is follow al the blogs comment and you are in with a chance to win :)

I used these laser cut wood frames to create the base of this hanging.  Painted them up in my favourite colours and then with my crop-a-dile put the holes in for the jump rings.
I was pretty surprised how easily the crop-a-dile cut through the wood.

These beautiful images are from some gorgeous 12 x 12 papers from Paper Zone.  I fell in love with there paper at SENZ and am kicking myself that I didn't come home with more.

As you can see I have just gathered goodies from my stash along with chip board pieces that I have painted and adhered them.  I attached these frames together with some large brass coloured jump rings...am still deciding whether I will change the colour of the jump rings with some alcohol ink and some patina.

so there you go make sure to join me for another design team project for Imagine if...

Paper Bag Mini Album and Mini Mixed media Canvases

It's time for another Blog hop with Imagine if....

I have 2 projects to share with you this week as last week I missed out due to annoying computer problems.
This week up for grabs are some chipboard clock parts and a set of keys...heaps of fun for your next crafty projects.  Don't forget to comment at the end of the post and follow the links to be in to with these awesome products from Imagine if :)

First up is this cute Mini albums that I have embellished using some chip board pieces aswell as  some felt flowers and lil birdies.

This paperbag mini measures 15.5cm x 15cm so it's perfect for 6' x 6' papers.  I have used this fun designer paper from Kaisercraft.

Tha felt and chipboard pieces I used from Imagine if... really suited the paper I thought and the album came together easily :)  To paint the chipboard pieces I used acrylic paint and gave a coat of Matte  Modge Podge to seal and strengthen them.

These next 2 creations are couple of mixed media canvases

so much fun to create these little pieces and the laser cut designs from Imagine if... make creating easy aswell as give your work some dimension and interest.

For my first mini 4' x 4' canvas I collaged with music note paper.  Had fun playing with acrylics and some lindy's sprays in the background..,.randomly stamped here in there...cut a heart shape out of some Kaisercraft designer paper and added my felt birds and chipboard word.

with this one I collaged my 4' x 4' stretched canvas with some music paper, ionked it up with some TH Distress inks in my favourite colour Vintage photo.  I played around with some acrylic paints...brought in some copper tones to give a warm autumn feeling and then heat embossed it with a stamped image and some antique gold embossing powder.

The words I just painted with my TH distress Paint dauber and the leaves I used vintage photo ink again...the copper paint and heat embossed again in the gold but this time I used a script stamp.
I love how this turned out :)

So there we go guys a couple of fun things to create using craft supplies from you guessed it Imagine if.....

HOME - IMAGINE IF.... BLOG HOP

Well It's that time again!!!

Time for another Imagine if Blog Hop.
Make sure if you want to enter to follow all the links given at the end of the post comment and you could win something awesome from Jo at Imagine if.....

This week I upcycled and old frame...I thought it was such a good score from the trift shop because it already had the burlap background.

I went about doing the frame by a couple of coats of Teal acrylic and then a coat of Antique Cream acrylic.  I then tried a crackle effect medium and as always I totally failed.
I sanded down the raised edges so some of the wood could come through and then rubbed some golod flake medium in places to add interest and highlights.

The chipboard pieces I used the same tech nique except for the sanding.  I then embellished with one of my handcrafted lace flowers and some paper ones added some trim and there we have it!!!

Flowers - Vintage Inspired.

Hey there I just wanted to show you the flowers I have been making today :)

I love to make flowers and just wanted to share what I've been up to :)

Happy crafting xx

Shabby Chic Embellishments

Hey guys
I have been busy making loads and loads of flowers.  I love to make my own embellishments and I remembered seeing a youtube vid on these awesome embellishments a couple of weeks ago.
The lady on youtube who inspired me goes by the youtube name Tootooamy.  She is a great crafter and has heaps of amazing ideas and tutorials.

These are the flower centers I came up with.

Basically all you do is gather up all those big buttons....and get together all those teeny tiny embellishments and adhere them on.  Anything you use will be gorgeous I promis...a great wat to use those buttons that never seem to make it on to our projects and I have this little container that I throw all those little doo dads in that I can't be bothered putting away.

WARNING!!! These are addictive...once you start you want to make more...much...much more!!

If you love shabby chic and you love to make embellishments I hope you give this a try :)

Here's my vid I made about them.

Happy crafting!!!
Tasha xx
