Hey there crafty peeps :)
Well I must say it got pretty festive here in my lil crafty corner. I ripped into my November Christmas Kit with gusto and came up with a couple of Tag/Cards (for lack of a better name)
The papers I used were from Couture Creations- Vintage Christmas and I loved this stack of paper. Nice muted tones, heaps of journal spots and other cut out elements that you will see more in my projects to come. As you can see above I did one in more Traditional colours and the other I "shabby chic'd " it up a bit.
Layering the paper with this beautiful lace gave the tag some dimension. I embellished by cutting this lil bird out from the paper and some adhesive pearls. I distressed the edges of my paper, this fastens with a brad and some seam binding.
Below you will see I used the bird again, more layering of the paper and added some more of the designer paper inside with a place to write your message. A very fun, quick and as always easy project and will be a special touch on any gift. Maybe even create a pocket to put a gift card in...who wouldn't love that!!!
Also in my DT Kit I received some co-ordinations cardstock in seaweed and this great embossing folder - so as an extra I thought I would make an easel card.
Rand the embossing folder through my cutting machine and lightly sanded with an emery board the raised bits to reveal the other colour underneath. I then put a little stickles in to give it some sparkle and that was the front of my simple but pretty card.
The inside was just as simple. The card base I used was Basil cardstock in Caramel and it measure 13cm x 13cm. I used the bottom part of the embossed card stock on some more layered cardstock.
So guys that's me for another week. I hope you are all getting stuck into your Christmas projects. I know all the Scottie Craft DT Ladies are doing some amazing work :)

Have fun crafting guys

Little Ramble and some craft shares :)
Hi guys with the holidays nearly over I can get back into sharing some of my crafts that I have been up to and catching up on some of my blogging and online sharing.
I have a couple of crafting tutorials to share with you over the next few days. I have always felt a bit weird doing Tutorials because I don't feel like I'm teaching you anything new but have recently had a few messages from people asking me how I do certain things so these tuts are not methods I claim to of invented they are just "shares" of how I go about making them.
As you Know I love to make flowers and I have been playing around with different fabrics. For so long I have been trying to find my "style" I love to create so many things and make a lot of projects for other people I have found it hard to sink into a personal style that I love. Recently I have been realising what I really love to create and the colour palette that I feel represents my preference.
So a particular style that really makes my eyes and other sences go crazy is "Tattered Chic" to me this is shabby but not so much frilly. It leans towards those yummy pastels but more of the dusty type shades, Dusky rose, white wash seafoams and my favs being all those yummy neutral tones...beige, taupe, cream, ivory...am I making sence?? clear as mud?? crazy lady babble?? lol
Below are some flowers I have been creating I call them "Tattered Chic Blooms" and they are a spin off of the Lollipop flowers all of we flower makers have made time and time again.
Here is Tutorial if you would like to see how I made these gorgeous morsels of flowery goodness...:)
Hope you give them a try.
Click here to come over to my FB Page and feel free to post a pic if you make some of these flowers yourself :)

Paper Bag Mini Album - Kaisercraft Hidden Treasures Collection
Hey guys.
I'm still working with the awesome Paper Collection from Kaisercraft - Hidden Treasures and really liking it. This is part one of a Paper bag Mini Album. Here are the first 2, 2 page layouts.
Behind each photo mat I have tucked some Tea dyed Tags and I have dressed them up with some of the cut outs and die cuts from the collection. Added some lace and some prima flowers to the large photo mats. I love the colours to this collection and as you can see they are perfect for a child's mini album
.
Below you will see I have covered the gusset of the bag with patterned paper adhered the sides to make a pocket and tucked a photo mat and a journaling spot in. I love tags that can be tucked away because I have messy writing so if you have the same problem but want to personalise your album with journaling then this is a great way as well as giving the book some interest.
When making mini albums I use a selection of adhesives. Depending on the weight of the paper or what I am wanting to adhere. For instance when I want to glue the sides of pockets I use wet glue so your tags and things don't catch as they do to double sided tape. Here are some direct links to some wet and dry adhesives perfect for making an album.
ATG Gun, I also use Double sided tape and some wet glue
Here is a basic guide to how I construct these Mini Albums there are so many different ways to create these Paper bag Mini Albums but I find this way the most simple and fast. I'm always eager to get into playing with the paper so this way suits me great. Hope you give it a try :)
Next week I'll be sharing the rest of the Album and the cover.
See ya then

Triple Easle Card
Hi there everyone, for all you parents I hope you are managing to get some crafty time in over the holidays or maybe you are braving it and crafting with the kids :)
It was my pleasure this month to get to use the new Kaisercraft Collection - Hidden Treasures. I have heaps of paper, die-cuts, and embellishments to play with and thought I would start off with a Triple Easel Card. Pretty pleased with how it came out as I am not at all an experienced card maker. As you can see in the top photo the card lays fairly flat. The banner is from the 12x12 sticker sheet. The Babushka Nesting dolls were from the Collectables Die cut pack and I embellished with of course some Prima Flowers and some Wood Veneers from Studio Calico.
Then when you want to display this card you just pop these little panels. This 3D card was very easy to make and a lot of fun.
I really enjoyed creating the different dimensions of this card and continuing to learn how to layer and create space and interest in my work from different angles.
This paper collection lends itself to so many themes and styles if you love this colour palette you will think it is great for many projects. It has a vintage, dusty attic feel but there are also elements in the paper line that would be great for children's or masculine type projects and even baby projects if you want to do something other than the traditional baby pink or blue.
So guys there we go that's my project this week. Had so much fun creating this card. Lastly just wanted to show you the inside of the card. I used some paper from the 6 1/2" Paper Pad from the collection.
See ya next week guys :)
